This summer I was invited to participate in the Southern Nevada Writing Project and it was been
inspiring as we are experimenting with many forms of writing that we can take back to our calssrooms. As a primary grade writing coordinator at my school I have searched for ways to keep the young writers engaged. The ideas I am getting at SNWP have rekindled my imagination has have the writing exercises we have tried.
Today, I'd like to share a "six word memoir". It is an activity that was presented by Milly, one of the ownderful presenters. The memoirs can be about one's self or anything you can imagine. I wrote several about a famous painter and they looked like this. See if you can guess the artist.
Sun flowers on the table potted
Do the shoes tell the story
Remember one time drawing suede shoes
Midnight Blue sky, starry swirls linger
Cut ear here to there stupid
Cheers!
